A dashboard is useful when it tells the transport office what requires attention and lets the user reach the supporting record. A row of green numbers without drill-down can create confidence without control.

Show actionable exceptions

Useful categories include missing daily checks, open or repeated defects, VOR vehicles, upcoming or expired vehicle and driver dates, incomplete jobs and overdue operational actions. The priority should be clear without turning every item red.

Test how dates are calculated, who can change them and what happens when a record is not applicable. An alert is only as reliable as the underlying data.
