Privacy & permissions

- No in-app purchases — the app is completely free for drivers. Costs are covered by the fleet operator.
- Foreground-only location — location is captured only when you submit a check or job record, not tracked continuously or in the background.
- No advertising — the app contains no advertising SDKs or behavioural tracking.
- No advertising identifier (IDFA) — the app does not request or use the Apple IDFA.
- Managed cloud storage — operational data is processed through HauliK managed providers. Exact hosting regions and transfer mechanisms are listed in our Privacy and Sub-processors pages and marked where verification is still needed.
- Safe use — drivers must not use the app while driving or where phone use would be unsafe or illegal.

Frequently asked questions
- Who can use the HauliK Driver app?
- The app is available to drivers who have been invited by their fleet operator. Your transport manager or fleet administrator will send you an invitation by email. You cannot sign up independently — access is controlled by your operator.
- Does the app cost anything?
- The HauliK Driver app is free to download and use. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or charges for drivers. HauliK is a subscription service paid by the fleet operator, not the driver.
- Does the app track my location?
- The app uses your location only when you are actively using it (foreground/when-in-use access). Location is captured at the moment you submit a check, job record or proof of delivery — it is not tracked continuously or in the background. You are always in control and can see when location is used.
- What devices does the app support?
- The Android app requires Android 7.0 or later. An iOS version for iPhone is also available — your fleet operator can provide the correct download link or App Store details for your device.
- Can I use the app without a mobile data connection?
- The app requires an internet connection to submit checks, jobs and messages. Basic navigation within the app may work offline, but records are only saved to the server when a connection is available.
- Who do I contact if I have a problem signing in?
- Contact your fleet manager or transport office first — they control account access and can resend invitation links. If the issue persists, your operator can contact HauliK support at support [at] haulik.co.uk.
